Tedd Koren in Shoot-Out!

This is not a joke; I was in a shoot-out in Dodge City, Kansas. OK, there were blanks in the guns. But it was very loud. We were at the Boot Hill Museum in Dodge City where we learned all about cowboys, Indians, covered wagons, buffalo, cattle, gunfighters and the lawmen sent to bring peace to the lawless Wild West: Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Marshall Dillon, Doc Holiday—all US Marshalls in Dodge City that were, at times, on both sides of the law.

OK, Doc Holliday was not a lawman, he was a dentist. He was also a gunfighter who gambled and killed a few people. He gave a new definition to the phrase getting drilled. Speaking of gunfighters, the museum included Boot Hill Cemetery where many gunslingers were buried with their boots on, hence the name.

In addition to his activities in Dodge City, Wyatt Earp was involved in the “Gunfight at the OK Corral” in Tombstone, Arizona along with two of his brothers and Bat Masterson against a group of lawless cowboys. We were tempted to drive there, maybe next trip.

Remember Miss Kitty and Marshall Dillon in Gunsmoke? It ran for 20 seasons! My brothers and I watched it nearly every week. In the TV show Miss Kitty ran the local hotel. In real life she ran the local brothel and saloon. Her girls were referred to as “Soiled Doves” and made $2.50-$7.00 per customer, minus room, board and expenses of course. In a 1953 interview, Norman Macdonnell (one of the Gunsmoke creators) declared: “Kitty is just someone Matt has to visit every once in a while.”

I couldn’t have said it better.

Why Were We Out There?

It wasn’t only to pay homage to the Old West and Miss Kitty. We drove west from our home north of Philadelphia to our KST seminar in Las Vegas.  We stayed for the week because the following weekend I was scheduled to speak at Dr. Adam Del Torto’s “Chiropractic Rocks”, in Burbank, California.

Why didn’t we fly? Because we refuse to wear face diapers. I have yet to wear a face covering. It is a disgusting sign of submission to medicine and to totalitarian medical-governmental control. Because it is anathema to anyone who believes in personal choice, freedom and scientific honesty. Apart from the people at Chiropractic Rocks who did not wear any face diapers, it seems that everyone in California submits to their dictators, I mean governors.

Our Request …

Dear politicians, medical and government bosses, do us a favor: mind your own business. Also, stop telling us you’re doing it for our own good. All dictators say that. You’re doing it for your own good and it worked. You have taken more power for yourselves from ourselves.

Cowboys

Aren’t cowboys, the open range, and America itself, all symbols of freedom? Wasn’t our country founded as a response to the arbitrary power of royalty, corruption, might-makes-right, immorality and monarchy? America, founded on Judeo-Christian principles, was a promised land that offered opportunity, freedom and liberty and has, therefore, been a blessing to the world. There’s a reason we have cities named New Haven and Newark (short for New Ark of the Covenant).

Don’t forget—America saved the world in WW2 from fascism and militarism (German, Japanese and Italian) and after that America saved the world from communist totalitarianism. We stood strong during the cold war as multiple wars of communist aggression were fought.

The chiropractic profession should take a page from that strong stance and be protecting the public from medical totalitarianism. Where is the profession?

Chiropractic Colleges Sell Out

I am saddened by the tragic non-response of the chiropractic colleges and state organizations to the Covid shamdemic where masks, social distancing and temperature taking, all useless and dangerous practices, are commonplace. These activities are medical, germ theory-based and completely antithetical to the Empirical philosophy and understanding of life and health from which chiropractic is derived.

Embracing the Medical Model?

Why has the profession embraced the medical model? For the same reason the United States is in peril—because we have forgotten the principles on which we were created and that which strengthened us to survive and thrive.

Stance on Vaccination?

Over half of all the chiropractic colleges now require or recommend vaccinations. Why? Because chiropractic philosophy is not taught in any school. I’m not only referring to chiropractic history, but to the intellectual and philosophical underpinnings on which our profession is based.

Philosophy is Our Foundation

Without philosophy, chiropractic will be absorbed into medicine, just as both osteopathy and naturopathy have been to a large degree. It’s already happening at a pace few would have predicted a few short decades ago.

I’ve offered to speak at almost every school—at my expense. All have ignored me. Please send this blog to any college presidents and board members—if you know anyone who gives a damn.

Hi Dr. Koren, I just wanted to update you on Osteopathy. I just graduated from the first non-medical Osteopath school in the USA!! We are more in alignment with Dr. Still’s vision to work with our hands and to honor the Life Force within that does the healing. Most americans go to Canada to learn but now they can go to school in Florida. We aren’t licensed yet but I’m sure it’s coming soon. I used to be a chiropractor but was very disillusioned because my education was philosophy poor and I was taught to diagnose medical conditions and refer to a medical doctor. And was told if the condition wasn’t serious – ” Oh… by the way adjust the spine.” ! It was an afterthought. I was drawn to Osteopathy because of the strong philosophy, but still do some Chiropractic. Chiropractic has an inferiority complex and in need of major healing. They don’t understand the power of what it’s all about. They need a wake up call or they will disappear. Thanks for your work and honesty.

I ran to listen to what you had to say when the pandemic scamdemic started. Like a kid to her dad. It all made me feel better except the part about us lacking philosophical education and the schools selling out. So many chiropractors are thirsty for more philosophy. We need a daily dose every morning of philosophy if even a single sentence. If you or some of our leaders would ever consider a morning message. A pop up that keeps us grounded daily. Thank you for all you do. Standing up in my realm. With you.

    Dear Dr. Koren,
Thank you for being a bold voice that is not afraid to speak the truth. I have been championing the same dialog all along. I am in California and it is terrible how our profession has bowed down to group thought.
I was in a zoom continuing education class recently and when the law and ethics section came up the instructor advised us to follow the California guidelines for health department guidelines without any debate. Basically, shut up do what you’re told, keep your head down and don’t go against it.
Health department “guidance” is not is not law. I got kicked out of a dental office on Friday for refusing to wear a mask..(I’m not done with the dentist on that issue!)

I am a second generation chiropractor. I have a deep anchor in our philosophy and vitalism. I am left wondering what the future will hold if we as a profession continue to cower and be silent as millions get a shot that could have a lasting negative affect for generations.

Our fight is bigger than our profession, bigger than our health, it is for the future of mankind.
Hitler took Germany because he made people afraid and created division. Standing up and educating our patients is more important now than ever. If we don’t who will?

I have been told by very smart people in our profession not to discuss the covid vax. Or say that there is a risk. I cannot in good conscience stay silent. They say I could get reprimanded for practicing medicine without a license or I am liable if someone actually does die from covid. But I can’t stay silent. I am reminded of the time when chiropractors did go to jail. I used to wonder if I would be that brave to practice and risk jail if I lived during that time. I don’t think the chiropractors of that era would have stayed silent.

Thank you for being bold. I am with you.
